About NIWRA
Overseen by a Board of Directors and wildlife manager, Robin Campbell, NIWRA continues because of amazing volunteers and incredible community support. We are a non-profit organization that cares for the well-being of Vancouver Island wildlife and strive to educate the public.
In doing so we offer these programs:
Rehabilitation of Vancouver Island wildlife specifically raptors and black bear.
On site and In-school wildlife educational programs
Self guided and guided tours to the general public
Opportunities to view Vancouver Island wildlife, especially raptors and black bears
Wildlife Volunteer opportunities for adults and youth
Community involvement in the centre by holding Wildlife Family Days, Brant Festival Eagle Release, and many other fundraisers and public awareness events.
Opportunities for the general public to become involved with NIWRA by becoming a member, or financially supporting a non-releasable animal.
A tool to learn about wildlife and passing that information along to others.
The centre has a calming atmosphere where all can feel the beauty of nature. Individuals who are stressed, mentally or physically challenged or otherwise comprimised enjoy this spirit of the centre
The centre is wheelchair accessible.
